The Silent Piler is a hydraulic machine for vibration-free installation or extraction of sheet piles.
The machine operates by gripping previously driven piles to provide reaction force for pressing in the next pile.
The Silent Piler works on top of the reaction piles and self-moves to the next position as illustrated in the adjacent picture. This technique allows pile driving at sites which are not accessible for conventional piling techniques. Only a relatively light-weight service crane is needed to pitch the sheet piles.
The Piler is delivered on a reaction frame. On both sides of this reaction frame counterweight (usually sheet piles) can be placed to make it possible to press the initial sheet piles.
Corners in the sheet pile wall can easily be made by installing one or two temporary additional reaction piles.
The power unit, which comes with the Piler, produces only 69 dB (A) at a distance of 7 m.
From this nuisance-free quality, the Silent Piler derives its name.
The tables below show which of our hot rolled sheet piles can be pressed in by a Silent Piler.
